Rivalry With England, UNITED> ENGLAND

September 8, 2009

I have a hard time sometimes explaining our rivalry with England to my friends. Every United fan should know not to support the England Scums! So I read a few articles from RoM and Prideofmanchester and put it here , so some of you can Understand.

As a lad, I still gave a shit about England. Whilst being proud of my Mancunian roots, I enjoyed watching England play. I hear United fans talk about how you can do both, support our club and follow England passionately, but all that died out for me probably around Euro 96. Now, I can’t abide by the national team and after the past ten years or so, can’t get my head around United fans feeling as strongly for England as they do for us.

The England team is filled with players I have no time for, from John Terry to Steven Gerrard, and Frank Lampard to Ashley Cole. The idea of feeling pleased to see Terry shove his opponent down as he rises to put a header in the back of the net, or Steven Gerrard scoring a screamer, just doesn’t add up to me. When I see those England fans chanting Rooney’s name just a week after coming to Old Trafford to support their club, calling him a “fat bastard” I’m filled with rage. It seems entirely moronic.

I read the featured blog on the official United site this week and I just have to wonder where these fans come from… the fans who are more than happy to forget the anti-United chants that regularly did the rounds at Wembley when four or five of our players were on the pitch representing their country, the fans who shrug off the vile treatment David Beckham received following World Cup 98, the fans who now watch those same England mugs hailing a past-it Beckham as a ‘legend’ when he comes off the bench these days, the fans who tear Wayne Rooney apart only to hail him as the Messiah when he scores a goal or two. is a Manchester United blog ran by Scott the Red- Its a blog tribute to our hatred towards England – Also one of the best Manchester United blogs

Though I am not a Mancunian I agree with this! There are plenty of England fans who are not from England Love the ‘No-lions’ all of you should know this!  Either your a brit or mancunian and If you support Manchester United, You should agree with this!

Stay Tuned, as Later on we’ll give you Part 2 from Pride of Manchester. 🙂

Makes a hell lot of sense.England national team consists of players like Gerrard and Lumpard who are not commited enough. No wonder they struggle so badly while playing for England. The England team is always hyped saying it can do well and once they underachieve as usual the media wants a targetand so rooney etc are targeted.rooney being a striker is the easiest target. As for wazza cant believe that after he has done so well under capello people still feel that 24 goals in 54 games is a bad outcome just because he missed a few good chances in a meaningless rubbish friendly on saturday.why forget he is just 23 and has long future ahead of him.How ironic that when wazza does not play they say we lost because he was missing.united>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>England any day.
